Better late than never! After muhurut on August 18, 2006 the film ‘18th cross’ by director Shanker is releasing in April this year with thoughts being fresh to even today. This is the confidence of director Shanker who faced a jolt for his film when producer Chikkanna died in 2008. Already in snail pace to accrue funds for the film Shanker was keeping high hopes for early release. That did not happen. From his end he has no flaws. He has shot 60000 feet for the film in 42 days spending Rs.80 lakhs.

Now distributors Jayanna and Siddaraju after watching the film asked director Shanker and relatives of producer Chikkanna to hold on. Instead of 26th March the film is releasing now in the month of April.

For both Deepak and heroine Radhika Pandit four films have got released after completion of this film. BL Babu and PL Ravi have shared the first and second half cinematography.
